Why is it that some obviously intelligent people are less successful (materially) than their less-intelligent counterparts? Why do some salespeople sell far more of the same product or service than their colleagues working for the same company or in the same industry? Why do some top executives take their companies to heights never reached before while others destroy theirs often in a short period of time?
There are of course many reasons why some individuals and companies are more successful than others, factors which are often completely or partially out of the control of the individuals and companies themselves. However what we are referring to here are factors which are inherent to individuals themselves - be they company employees or not, managers or leaders - factors pertaining to the structure and function of the human mind.
